Requirements

  • LMSW, LCSW, MHC-LP, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT required.
  • Understanding and experience with OASAS documentation requirements, including intake and assessment, medical necessity, treatment planning and clinical interventions from the start of the treatment through termination.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in the Substance use field preferably in Methadone Maintenance; other addictions, complex trauma and psychosocial stressors of poverty, abuse, abandonment, grief/loss, foster care, and criminal justice involvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Working familiarity with EMR's.
  • Positive attitude and demeanor with an ability to engage individuals of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with regulatory agencies, personnel, community stakeholders, participants /families.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a caseload of participants living with Opioid use disorder and other co-occurring mental health diagnoses, including support around all treatment-related and case management needs.
  • Provides Individual therapy, family/couples therapy, and group therapy.
  • Completes timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to ensure compliance.
  • Attends and participates in supervision as scheduled with the assigned supervisor.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled team meetings and training courses.
  • Provides support to the interdisciplinary team around mental health needs and high-complexity cases.
  • Escorts participants for reinstatement appointments to Dr. Thomas, providing a brief clinical handoff/summary gathered from the participant's clinician(s) (status, recent concerns, treatment-plan context, and any safety considerations) so that Dr. Thomas has the information needed to make the reinstatement determination.
  • Performs other duties as needed to ensure the success of the program.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
