About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) or LCAS-A to provide clinical services at its Concord, North Carolina location. The program is expanding its residential and detox treatment services, and the counselor will work with individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. The role includes evaluating clients’ behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs; collaborating with the treatment team on individualized goals; providing counseling and therapeutic groups; maintaining clinical records; supporting utilization review and aftercare planning; and contributing to clinical programming and staff training. The counselor must protect client confidentiality, comply with applicable requirements and standards, complete required training, and participate in the on-call rotation as directed. This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $57,000–$62,000. Eligible full-time employees can access a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

Active North Carolina LCAS or LCAS-A credential.
Master’s-level education and applicable licensure meeting the requirements for the candidate’s specific credential.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team and respond appropriately to crisis situations.

Experience in substance use disorder treatment or a related behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs and collaborate with the treatment team to establish and monitor individualized treatment goals.
Facilitate individual and family counseling sessions and therapeutic groups, and communicate with referral sources and outpatient providers as applicable.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Client Record (ECR) system in accordance with program policies.
Provide timely documentation and support for utilization review (UR), and participate in the utilization review process as required.
Participate in aftercare planning and outcome data collection as applicable.
Contribute to program-specific curriculum development, clinical literature review, and staff training.
Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required.
Participate in the on-call rotation as directed by the supervisor and in accordance with program policy.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy requirements, company policies, and accreditation standards.
Complete all required company and regulatory training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
