Requirements
- Possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology
- Be able to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation
- Pass a medical examination and drug screening
- Submit and approve satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic, intellectual, educational, and readiness evaluations using accepted clinical methods
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy using approaches suited to each consumer’s level of functioning
- Design and deliver DBT remotivation and cognitive remediation programs in collaboration with other disciplines
- Complete patient risk assessments, crisis plans, and behavioral plans following hospital-approved procedures
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams, contribute clinical insight, implement assigned treatment elements, and provide direct care
- Record assessment results, therapy progress, and treatment recommendations in accordance with hospital and Medicare standards
