About The Position

As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections with the Department of Corrections (DOC), you will play a key leadership role in driving strong mental health services at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Greene. This position gives you the opportunity to supervise staff, manage clinical programs, and respond to the needs of inmates with professionalism and care. You will help maintain high standards while guiding teams through challenging and meaningful work. Requirements

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
• Possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct psychological staff, guide diagnostic work, and support therapeutic interventions for inmates
• Develop policies, integrate new procedures, and lead key mental health service initiatives
• Chair review teams, coordinate mental health discussions, and support critical response efforts
• Set clinical standards, evaluate measures, and update stability ratings as needed
• Assess test interpretations and prepare comprehensive psychological and behavioral reports
• Advise staff on mental health treatment needs, support specialized units, discuss management plans, and testify in legal proceedings
