About The Position

This position oversees psychological programs that support inmates through evaluation, treatment, and crisis response. The work ensures that mental health services remain consistent, effective, and aligned with professional standards. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties: Staff Supervision: Guide the work of psychological staff, review evaluations, and support treatment planning Program Management: Oversee psychological services programs, update procedures, and support policy development Committee Leadership: Lead mental health committees and ensure proper review of inmate cases Clinical Oversight: Review psychological tests, prepare diagnostic reports, and ensure accurate clinical assessments Consultation Duties: Provide guidance to staff on treatment needs and support specialized unit programs Legal and Accreditation: Testify as needed, ensure standards are met, and maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.

Requirements

  • One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board.
  • Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
