About The Position

The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill is seeking a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections who is ready to take on an important leadership role. In this position, you help shape mental health services, support professional staff, and contribute to a safer and healthier facility. Your experience will guide treatment decisions and improve daily operations. This position focuses on managing psychological services and supporting the mental health needs of inmates within the institution. You lead professional staff, guide treatment plans, and help maintain strong clinical standards.

Requirements

  • One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board.
  • Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee psychological staff, review evaluations, and provide guidance for clinical decisions
  • Develop and support psychological services programs and integrate new policies and procedures
  • Lead committees that address mental health needs, crisis response, and clinical reviews
  • Review testing results, treatment plans, and diagnostic reports to maintain quality of care
  • Advise staff on mental health issues and participate in meetings to review inmate adjustment
  • Ensure compliance with psychological service standards and provide expert testimony when needed
