About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients in support of and as directed by the physician. The role includes observing, conducting, and documenting a thorough assessment of a patient's medical status throughout treatment. The nurse also performs assigned back-office duties and rotates as a telephone triage nurse, carrying out all duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures. Related duties may be required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or a Nursing Vocational or Nursing Technical school.
- Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in New York State.
- Specialized certifications as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in support of and as directed by the physician.
- Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
- Observe, conduct, and document a thorough assessment of the patient's medical status throughout treatment.
- Perform assigned back-office duties and rotate as a telephone triage nurse in an efficient and professional manner.
- Perform duties in accordance with Practice policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as required.
