About The Position

Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide home health care in Nash County. The role is full-time, day shift, and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The nurse helps patients heal at home by delivering care, teaching patients and caregivers self-care techniques, and collaborating with physicians and registered nurses to address patient needs and changes in condition. Compensation is $26.15–$32.69, and may vary based on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

One year of clinical LPN experience.
Current LPN license specific to the state(s) where assigned to work.
Current CPR certification.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

Verify the plan of care with the RN before each visit.
Collaborate frequently with the physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met, and notify them as soon as possible when a patient's condition changes.
Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
Check vital signs.
Review all medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
Perform specialized procedures ordered by the physician, such as changing a Foley catheter.
Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
Complete documentation accurately and on time.
