Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania
- If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities
- Check and record vital signs to support accurate assessment of inmate health
- Prepare and administer medications under proper supervision and document treatments
- Assist inmates with daily living activities and hygiene to maintain their basic physical needs
- Provide first aid, CPR, or AED support during urgent medical situations
- Review, update, and maintain electronic health records and required reports
- Follow established procedures to keep treatment areas clean and safe
