Requirements
- One year of experience in a dental office or clinic; or Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assisting certificate program; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Exam as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist during procedures by preparing tools, charting findings, and managing suction and irrigation
- Prepare workspaces, sterilize equipment, mix materials, and ready patients for treatment
- Take, process, mount, and evaluate dental radiographs for diagnostic quality
- Take impressions and create diagnostic casts, ensuring proper quality and preparation
- Schedule appointments, maintain dental files, and ensure documentation accuracy
- Explain preventative and post-procedure care instructions clearly and respectfully
