LPN - Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents and helps ensure their well-being and comfort. The role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring residents’ health, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and overseeing care-plan implementation. The position is full-time and works overnight from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. at 13 Parklawn Drive, Bethel, Connecticut 06801. Requirements
- Valid state LPN license.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of aged and chronically ill people, with the ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Supervise and support Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
