LPN - Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse
About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide direct nursing care to residents and help ensure their well-being and comfort. You will administer medications and treatments, monitor residents’ vital signs and medical information, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and support the implementation of care plans. The role also includes providing wound care and other nursing interventions, supervising and supporting Certified Nurse Assistants, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols. This is a full-time overnight position at the Bethel location, with hours of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The organization describes its environment as supportive and collaborative, and offers training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Valid state LPN license.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of aged and chronically ill people, with the ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Supervise and support Certified Nurse Assistants in delivering care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
