About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for its detox and residential treatment facility in Aurora, Colorado. This full-time position works overnight on weekends, Friday through Sunday, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The nurse provides medical assessments and nursing care for clients, supports medication and pharmacy needs, and coordinates care with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The role requires accurate medical documentation, chart review, and medication logging.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year diploma program completed after high school.
• Current, valid LPN licensure in Colorado.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
• Dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Complete medical documentation, review charts, and maintain medication logs for each client.
