About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the day shift at its detox and residential treatment facility in South Bend, Indiana. The position provides nursing care to clients receiving addiction treatment, including admission assessments, shift-based nursing duties, medication and pharmacy coordination, collaboration with care teams, and thorough medical documentation.

Requirements

• Hold current, valid licensure to practice nursing in the state, or a compact license with multistate privileges.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
