About The Position

Cascades at Orchard Park is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional, compassionate nursing care to geriatric residents in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting. The position is full-time, with 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM, three days per week. Exact workdays are discussed during the interview, and weekend work is not required. Personalized training and ongoing support are provided to help the nurse feel confident and continue developing professionally.

Requirements

• Current LPN license in good standing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and uphold long-term care regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Order and manage medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by physicians.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of changes in a resident’s condition.
• Provide nursing services as necessary, including tube feedings, suction, catheterization, wound care, dressing changes, packs, and irrigations.
• Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
• Advocate for residents and ensure care aligns with resident care plans and personal wishes.
• Complete required documentation and charting accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care to geriatric residents requiring 24/7 support.
