About The Position
Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing long-term and rehabilitation care. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing services to residents, including geriatric patients who require around-the-clock care. This is a full-time day position with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, three days per week.
Requirements
- Hold an LPN license in good standing.
- Communicate effectively.
- Be willing to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
- Notify the resident’s physician and/or family members when the resident’s condition changes.
- Provide nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Advocate for patients and ensure other health care team members provide care according to the resident’s care plan and personal wishes.
- Complete required charting accurately and in a timely manner.
