About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contributes to patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the supervision of registered nurse(s), the LPN provides patient education and guidance within the scope of their education and demonstrated competencies. The role supports care for underserved and vulnerable patients in a mission-driven healthcare environment. The shift is 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- The position is available only to applicants who reside in the United States.

- A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under RN supervision, assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the Health Care Unit and housing units, contribute to individualized treatment planning, and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
- Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Participate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift and follow safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions when responding to codes or health emergencies.
- Assist with medical or minor surgical procedures; implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans; and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, and follow policies and procedures while providing patient care.
