About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care on a hospital nursing unit. The nurse works under the direction of an RN and performs duties consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines, providing care appropriate to patients’ age and population. This is a full-time night-shift position in Corpus Christi, Texas. Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Current BLS certification; certification must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current IV certification within 90 days of employment, if required by state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
- Gather and report data.
- Carry out orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
