About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for the day shift at its Baton Rouge, Louisiana facility. Avenues is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers with 18 locations across seven states, offering detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient care. The organization is accredited by JCAHO and CARF and complies with ASAM standards.

The LPN provides medical care to clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge; coordinates medication and pharmacy needs; collaborates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams; maintains medical documentation; and provides patient education. Requirements

• Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Hold current licensure to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
• Demonstrate a compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
