About The Position

Benchmark is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse at The Arbors of Bedford. The role provides nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment as part of a supportive team. The position is listed for either the 3 p.m.–11 p.m. or 11 p.m.–7 a.m. shift and pays $33–$40.50 per hour. Benefits eligibility may vary by employment status.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license.
• CPR certification.
• Graduation from an approved LPN program, in accordance with state requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous paid or volunteer experience working with elderly people is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, communicate, and document residents’ status accurately.
• Observe and report significant changes in residents’ behavior or health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, as required by state regulations.
• Direct and supervise Resident Care Assistants’ daily work assignments.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their work.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with support for residents’ independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources as required by state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and determine when backup is needed.
