LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Primary Care Kistler
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and family to assist with diagnosis and treatment. The role follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record, supporting continuity and quality of care. The LPN promotes a clean clinical environment and provides care for patients in the age range assigned to the clinical area. The position is based in a clinical environment and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, primarily during the day, with some evenings. The location is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. New and experienced LPNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Graduate from a specialty training program in nursing.
- Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Skills in communication, computer literacy, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork.

Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, and vital signs; provide basic medical information to the provider and prepare patients for examinations.
- Provide direct clinical care as directed by the provider.
- Assist the provider with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete related paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Execute and document ongoing patient communication as directed by the provider; prioritize communication to the provider and respond to patient questions and requests in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under provider direction and within scope of practice.
- Clean and prepare examination and treatment rooms between cases; maintain required asepsis and ensure appropriate instruments, equipment, and patient preparations are available.
- Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record.
- Comply with organization policies and job-specific obligations.
