The Licensed Practical Nurse provides primary clinical support to providers, patients, and families to assist with diagnosis and treatment. The role includes following up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record, and helping maintain continuity and quality of care. The LPN obtains and documents medical histories, chief complaints, and vital signs; prepares patients for examinations; and provides direct clinical care as directed by a provider. The nurse also assists with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures, collects and prepares laboratory specimens, and administers medications and vaccines—including intradermal medications and skin testing—under provider direction and within scope of practice. The LPN carries out and documents patient communications, helps prioritize messages to providers, and responds to patient questions and requests. The role also involves cleaning and preparing examination and treatment rooms, maintaining asepsis, and ensuring appropriate instruments and equipment are available. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. This is a regular, full-time position scheduled for 40 hours weekly, primarily days with some evenings. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. New and experienced LPNs are welcome; one year of nursing experience is preferred. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered; ask for details.
