About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contribute to implementing patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly affects outcomes and care for patients, families, and significant others.

Requirements

• Diploma program in practical nursing.
• Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Certification to administer medications.
• Able to multitask amid constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Nice To Haves

• IV certification.
