About The Position
Meritan, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join its Home Health team in Memphis, Tennessee. This PRN, per-visit position assists with daily clinical activities under the direction of a registered nurse. The posted hourly range reflects rates that vary by visit type. The role offers flexibility and autonomy, consistent work, and the opportunity to focus on one patient at a time while serving vulnerable people in the community. Clinical documentation is handled through Meritan’s online system, accessible via a company-issued tablet or a smartphone. The position involves travel to patients and occasional availability on weekends and holidays. Meritan is an ACHC-accredited and CAPABLE-certified nonprofit serving the Memphis and Shelby County areas.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent experience.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organization and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Schedule flexibility.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily clinical activities under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Provide home health services to patients, focusing on one patient at a time.
- Use the agency’s online clinical system through a company-issued tablet or smartphone.
