About The Position

CoreCivic is seeking part-time Licensed Practical Nurses to provide high-quality care in an institutional setting. The role requires performing nursing functions at a pace and level consistent with job performance requirements, while maintaining the security and confidentiality of medical records.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Must be licensed in the state of employment.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Attend sick call with the physician; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined and prepare the examining room and equipment.
• Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and procedures.
• Control medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment, and conduct inventory as required by established procedures.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of all medical records.
