About The Position

St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for its Behavioral Health department. The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services using technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. Care addresses patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general needs and supports communication with patients and their families. The role is performed under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The full-time schedule is days, 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.

• Work experience in health care is preferred.
