About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services in the Behavioral Health department. The role uses technical and manual skills within the scope of practice to address patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs, as well as communication needs of patients and families. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position is full-time on a day schedule, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
