About The Position

National Park Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a full-time, day-shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for behavioral health. The LPN provides compassionate care alongside a dedicated team, helping assess patient needs, deliver treatments, and support patient comfort and safety in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality care. The role contributes to patient assessments by gathering data for RN analysis, carries out plan-of-care interventions, and communicates patient status and responses to the RN, physician, patient, and family. The LPN also supports patients with daily living activities, advocates for their physical and emotional well-being, and participates in performance improvement and continuing education. The position may require flexible shifts or units as needed.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to patient assessments by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; medication administration may be included.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist the RN with development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
