About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Behavioral Health position is a full-time role working 36-hour weeks with 12-hour day shifts. The role is with Mercy Youngstown BH, part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The Behavioral Health Unit at Mercy Youngstown focuses on teamwork and effective communication to provide specialized care to patients facing mental health and addiction challenges. Mercy Youngstown is a 72-bed behavioral health hospital providing high-quality compassionate care for adults age 18+.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license or a current multistate compact license.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BCLS certification or within one week of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in behavioral health preferred.
