About The Position

National Park Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Behavioral Health team. The LPN provides compassionate patient care alongside a dedicated team, helping assess patient needs, administer treatments, and support patient comfort and safety in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality care. The role is full-time and day shift, with flexible shifts or units as needed.

The LPN contributes patient data for RN assessment and analysis, carries out plan-of-care interventions, documents care, and assists the RN with care planning. The role also includes supporting patients with activities of daily living, communicating changes in patient status and responses to interventions, and advocating for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements

• Current state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to patient assessments by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist the RN with development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
