About The Position
CoreCivic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care and treatment to inmates/residents in an institutional setting. The successful candidate must perform the listed functions at a pace and level consistent with the job’s performance requirements. This is a night-shift position with an advertised pay range of $25.34 to $34.68 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing and hold a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Hold a license in the state of employment.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
- Attend sick call with the physician; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined and prepare the examining room and equipment.
- Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and procedures.
- Control and inventory medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment according to established procedures.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of medical records.
