About The Position

Provides professional nursing care to patients in support of and as directed by a physician. Observes, conducts, and documents thorough assessments of patients’ medical status throughout treatment. The role also includes assigned back-office duties and rotating telephone triage responsibilities, performed in accordance with practice policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or a nursing vocational or nursing technical school.
• Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in New York State.
• Specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in support of and as directed by a physician.
• Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
• Observe, conduct, and document thorough assessments of patients’ medical status throughout treatment.
• Perform assigned back-office duties and rotate as a telephone triage nurse in an efficient and professional manner.
• Perform duties in accordance with practice policies and procedures.
• Perform related duties as required.
