About The Position
Centurion provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Georgia Department of Corrections and is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Ware State Prison in Waycross, Georgia. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to address a range of physical and behavioral health needs. The position is for day shifts with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one.
- Active and appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including completing a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Respond to patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
