About The Position

Heartline Staffing is recruiting experienced Licensed Practical Nurses for a 26-week day-shift travel assignment at a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania state-operated restoration center in South Mountain, Pennsylvania. The center is administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS). Nurses work alongside licensed nursing professionals and an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide compassionate, respectful care and support resident safety, comfort, and daily needs.

The schedule is five 8-hour shifts per week, with guaranteed 40 hours weekly. The day shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break and two paid 15-minute breaks. Rotating weekends and assigned holidays are required. No leave may be used during the first four weeks, and cell phone use is not permitted while working.

Gross weekly pay is $1,700, consisting of a taxable rate of $15.00 per hour and a tax-free stipend of $1,100 per week for eligible travelers. Stipend eligibility is subject to applicable IRS requirements, and the permanent tax-home address must be more than 50 miles from the facility to meet Heartline Staffing's travel-distance policy.

Requirements

• Current, active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Nursing experience appropriate to the assignment.
• Ability to provide direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Availability for the 6:00 AM–2:30 PM day shift.
• Availability for rotating weekends and assigned holidays.
• Ability to comply with the restriction on leave during the first four weeks.
• Ability to comply with the facility's no-cell-phone-use policy while working.
• Ability to commit to the full 26-week assignment.
• Ability to meet applicable Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and facility requirements prior to placement.
• Permanent tax-home address must be more than 50 miles from the assignment facility to meet Heartline Staffing's travel-distance policy.

Nice To Haves

• Previous psychiatric or mental health nursing experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to appropriate healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as permitted within scope and facility protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
• Follow established safety, infection prevention, and facility procedures.
• Support consistent, patient-centered care throughout the assigned shift.
