Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Travel Corrections Evenings | $1,700 Weekly
About The Position
Heartline Staffing is recruiting experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for three evening-shift travel opportunities at a Pennsylvania state correctional institution in Camp Hill. This Commonwealth of Pennsylvania opportunity is based in a secure correctional healthcare environment. You'll work alongside licensed nursing professionals and an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide appropriate nursing care while following established clinical procedures and correctional facility security protocols. Correctional healthcare requires nurses who can remain professional, adaptable, and focused while providing safe, respectful care within a secure environment.
Requirements
- Current, active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Ability to provide nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a secure environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a challenging healthcare setting.
- Availability for second shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.
- Ability to commit to the 26-week assignment.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and clearances.
- Ability to meet applicable Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and correctional facility requirements prior to placement.
Nice To Haves
- Previous correctional healthcare experience, including jail or prison nursing.
- Previous psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.
- Knowledge of correctional facility protocols and safety procedures.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Bilingual communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and permitted within scope.
- Monitor patient health and report changes in condition.
- Perform nursing assessments appropriate to the LPN role.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Follow established clinical, security, and facility protocols.
- Provide professional patient care within a secure correctional environment.
Benefits
- Weekly Gross Pay: $1,700
- Taxable Hourly Pay: $15.00
- Weekly Travel Stipend: $1,100, subject to eligibility
- Overtime Rate: $40.00 per hour
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
