About The Position

Benchmark is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The LPN works with a team of associates and supports residents’ well-being and independence. The role is full time, with a stated schedule of 2:00 PM–10:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The wage range is $33.50–$37.50.

Requirements

Current state LPN license.
CPR certification.
Graduate of an approved LPN program, as required by the state.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
Previous paid or volunteer experience working with elderly people is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their work.
Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
Balance service demands with support for resident independence.
Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources in accordance with state regulations.
Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and know when to call for backup.
