About The Position

FutureCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide hands-on care and support to residents. Under the direct supervision of an RN, the LPN assists with care planning and treatments, applies knowledge and resources in consultation with nursing staff, and provides care consistent with applicable State and Federal guidelines. The role is for a full-time evening shift. The posted base pay range is $33.00–$36.50 per hour, with shift differentials and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Bonuses or other incentives are offered separately and paid according to the relevant program schedule; employment offers consider experience, qualifications, location, and certifications or training. Requirements

Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland.
Must possess a current CPR license.
Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with personnel, residents, and families.
Team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist where needed.

Nice To Haves

One year of nursing experience preferred.
Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consult with other nursing staff as appropriate, applying knowledge and resources.
Demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice is within State and Federal guidelines.
Document care provided and report changes in resident status to the shift supervisor.
Review referrals for consultation, treatment, or resolution of problems to ensure they are valid and applicable to documented nurse plans.
Seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility.
