About The Position
Westminster Communities of Bradenton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to Assisted Living residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week in 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The community is located along the Manatee River near historic downtown Bradenton and holds Joint Commission accreditation. Requirements
- Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of long-term care experience is desirable.
- Medical-surgical or home health experience is helpful.
- Experience working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
Responsibilities
- Assist with evaluating residents’ needs.
- Assist in planning resident care based on physician orders.
- Implement resident care based on physician orders.
- Evaluate care and communicate with physicians as needed for order updates.
- Ensure residents receive medication at the time prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfers, ambulation, and toileting.
- Ensure certified nursing assistants follow physician orders.
- Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
