About The Position

Vital Medical Staffing is seeking dependable, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses to join its PRN team in Brookhaven, Mississippi. The position provides direct patient care within the LPN’s scope of practice, including administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care accurately. LPNs work with RNs, CNAs, and facility staff in hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings, and clinics, following facility protocols and maintaining professionalism and compassion. This as-needed role involves accepting coverage shifts, sometimes on short notice. Nurses are expected to communicate effectively with facility leadership and the staffing team, including when accepting shifts, reporting concerns, or addressing patient needs. Punctuality and arriving prepared to work are essential. Applicants must consent to background checks and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Requirements

Active and valid LPN license.
Current TB test.
Active CPR/BLS certification; certification must be instructor-led and in person, as online-only courses are not accepted.
Reliable transportation.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Compassion for patients and dedication to quality care.
Ability to work PRN and accept last-minute shifts.
Consent to background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities
