Licensed Practical Nurse - Full-Time 11p-7a
About The Position
Gulf Coast Village Assisted Living/Palmview is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for an overnight 11 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule in Cape Coral, Florida. The role provides compassionate nursing care in an assisted living and memory care community and supports residents’ health, safety, and well-being. The position works within a purpose-driven, team-oriented environment and is part of Gulf Coast Village, a community of Volunteers of America National Services. The nurse follows facility routines and procedures for monitoring vital signs and weights and administering medications and treatments; communicates with staff, residents, guests, and families; reports suspected abuse or neglect; and completes required electronic documentation. The schedule alternates between the listed Week One and Week Two patterns.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Be customer-service oriented and knowledgeable about successful customer service techniques.
- Be able to understand residents’ charts, doctors’ orders, care plans, and medication orders.
- Be able to effectively gather clinical data regarding residents’ status and condition.
Responsibilities
- Model positive and open communication with staff, customers, guests, residents, and families.
- Follow shift routines, policies, and procedures for monitoring vital signs and weights and administering medications and treatments.
- Immediately report suspected abuse or neglect in accordance with facility policy.
- Accurately use electronic documentation systems as required by facility policy.
