About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor, and Practice Manager. The LPN anticipates patients’ needs and symptoms and provides care under the physician’s direction. Duties include preparing patients for examinations, assisting with treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and documenting treatment in the medical record. The LPN also assists with patient and family education and demonstrates the competency and skills needed to serve patients of all ages.
Requirements
- Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
- Hold a current, active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Georgia.
- Have a current American Heart Association BLS card before the hire date.
Responsibilities
- Recognize patients’ needs and symptoms in advance.
- Provide patient care under the physician’s direction.
