About The Position

MGA Homecare is hiring a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to provide care for a pediatric patient requiring ventilator care. Ventilator training is available. The nurse delivers patient care under limited supervision using the nursing processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with applicable laws and the standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility where the nurse works. The schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation.
• Active North Carolina nursing license.
• Provide a copy of current TB results or a chest X-ray.
• Provide a copy of current CPR certification, as required by agency policy.
• Be flexible and organized, and exercise independent, sound judgment in performing job duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing as ordered in the plan of treatment and nursing care plan.
• Identify and follow through on new problems, changes, and resolutions, documenting them in clinical notes, supplemental physical orders, and the nursing care plan.
• Communicate skilled observations and significant changes in patient status to the Director of Clinical Services and/or Clinical Manager.
• Request modifications or additional orders based on the patient's clinical status and skilled nursing judgment.
• Participate in agency-mandated activities, such as in-services, as requested by the Agency Director.
• Adhere to MGA policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
• Report on time and as scheduled to complete work within the designated time.
