About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse will provide professional nursing or medical assistant care as needed at an industrial clinic in Sturgeon Bay, WI. This role involves greeting and rooming patients, recording vital signs, and collecting medical histories. The position also includes coordinating provider schedules, managing appointments, and preparing patient charts. Additionally, the role requires educating and instructing patients and families within the scope of licensure or certification, preparing for and assisting medical providers with in-office procedures, and administering medications and immunizations. Maintaining exam rooms and equipment according to infection control standards, monitoring and restocking medical supplies, and scheduling patient appointments for lab draws and processing lab work are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program
Certified as a Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant through an approved accreditor preferred
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor
