Licensed Practical Nurse Or Certified Medical Assistant - Walk In Clinic - Full Time
About The Position
Essentia Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse or certified medical assistant to work in its Walk In Clinic in Bismarck, North Dakota. The role assists registered nurses, physicians, and other providers and delivers direct patient care in an ambulatory care setting to support Essentia Health’s mission and goals. The employee performs identified procedures for which they have demonstrated competency and cares for patients from newborns through elderly adults. The position is 0.9 FTE, working 36 hours per week in three 12-hour shifts. The schedule includes every third weekend and holidays. The shift rotation is day/evening. There is no call obligation.
Requirements
- For the LPN role, hold a current North Dakota LPN license upon hire.
- For the CMA role, hold current medical assistant registration or certification, or provide verifiable completion of a medical assistant program and become certified within one year of hire.
- CMA candidates must pass certification within two attempts.
- CMA candidates must register as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire or transfer; medication may not be administered before this registration.
- For both roles, obtain AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within three months of hire.
