About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for its Minot Walk In Clinic. The role provides care for patients of all ages and stages of life in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant works within the state-specific, predefined scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a person licensed to practice medicine. The position collects subjective and objective health-status information from patients or caregivers, communicates that information to health care providers, contributes data to licensed health care professionals, and follows through on the patient’s plan of care under the provider’s direction. The Medical Assistant also communicates specifically defined written care instructions from the provider to patients or caregivers and supports patients through preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as they move between care settings. The role includes preparing exam rooms and patients for examinations, taking vital signs, observing and reporting signs or symptoms, performing point-of-care testing, and supporting nursing staff with daily workflow. Schedules are made approximately six weeks in advance to support planning and time-off requests. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with shift times varying. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; weekends, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and holidays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. Compensation is listed as $17.50–$25.50, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
