About The Position

This part-time Medical Assistant position is for a walk-in clinic, requiring 20 hours per week. The role involves performing select clinical functions to enhance patient care delivery, including preparing patients for examinations, obtaining specimens, conducting routine laboratory tests and recording results, performing routine diagnostic tests, and potentially phlebotomy. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision and perform related clerical duties for clinic operations. The position requires occasional travel to other locations and flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience.
Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
