About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. The role gathers and reports data, carries out orders, and performs therapeutic procedures for patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner, following PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. Other related duties may be assigned or requested. The position is PRN and lists shifts of 6:30 am/pm–7 am/pm.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
