About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Med-Surg unit will be responsible for providing patient care on a day shift with a focus on orthopedic and surgical cases, including bariatric and general surgeries. The LPN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
- Active TX RN License
- BLS Certification
Nice To Haves
- Bariatric, Med/Surg, Ortho Certification preferred
- ACLS Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care to patients, including medication management.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the nurse in charge.
- Assist in surgical procedures and treatment plans as required.
- Maintain medical records and documentation.
