About The Position

A healthcare provider is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physical Therapist to join its rehabilitation team in Port Arthur, Texas. The role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, restore physical function, and achieve greater independence. The therapist evaluates and treats patients, develops individualized treatment plans, monitors progress, and communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The role also includes supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation support staff in accordance with applicable state regulations. Candidates must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current Physical Therapist license in the state where the position is located.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work professionally with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients to improve mobility, strength, physical function, and independence.
Conduct comprehensive assessments using appropriate evaluation tools and clinical procedures.
Review patient records, medical diagnoses, health history, precautions, and contraindications.
Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on patient needs.
Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation support staff in accordance with applicable state regulations.
Explain evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed.
