About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for an assisted living facility in Terre Haute, Indiana. The facility is described as spacious, highly rated, and welcoming, with a large treatment area and a community willing to participate in therapy. The position offers 30 or more hours per week and pay of $33–$37 per hour. The PTA assists with implementing treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, provides direct patient care, monitors and documents progress, and educates patients and families. The role works closely with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support effective treatment outcomes. Requirements

Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligibility.
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
Monitor and document patient progress, and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Document treatments, progress, and patient responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to coordinate patient care and treatment outcomes.
